Total Trees Planted: 645,000 mangrove trees planted across two sites.

Reforestation Area: Over 38 hectares of degraded mangrove forests restored.

Mangrove Species Planted: Avicennia marina (Grey Mangrove) Rhizophora mucronata (Red Mangrove) Ceriops tagal (Indian Mangrove) Bruguiera gymnorrhiza (Large-Leafed Orange Mangrove)


Socio-Economic Impact:


Employment Created: 6,840 workdays generated for 55 workers.

Gender Representation: 67% of the planting team were women.


Broader Benefits:


Ecological Restoration: Enhanced coastal resilience by preventing soil erosion, supporting fish habitats, and mitigating flooding risks.

Community Impact: Provided meaningful employment, improving livelihoods in local communities heavily impacted by past natural disasters (notably the 1996 tsunami).
