Anabela Chan founded the first fine jewellery brand in the world to champion Laboratory Grown & Created Gemstones.

Anabela Chan is the first fine jewellery brand in the world to champion Laboratory Grown Gemstones and recycled metals, paired with high jewellery design and artisanal craftsmanship, always driven by a focus on sustainable innovations.

‘Jewellery is the most magical thing you can wear – it is timeless, non-seasonal and has the ability to empower and bring immense personal joy. For something so small that can be held in the palm of your hand, it can hold a world of emotions and memories. An object of art and craftsmanship that can be worn on the body, close to our hearts.

The beauty of high jewellery is that it is an escape from the ordinary to a realm where anything is possible. What we represent in the fine jewellery world is the future - a brand where science innovation merges with artistic creations - true sustainability with ethical practice, how to work with nature to better it rather than deplete it. It is a celebration of traditional, artisan craftsmanship with modern technology and material science. It is about learning from the past to offer a different perspective in the present, always in mind for a better future.

It is about offering informed choices to customers around the world, where they also learn about possibilities - I believe education is the passport to the future and the future belongs to those who prepare for it today.’

Anabela Chan
Jeweller to The Stars and founded in London in 2013 with awards from Vogue Talents and The British Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council, Anabela Chan arrived at jewellery from a prestigious background in architecture, fashion and art. Her creations are worn and loved globally by collectors and superstars alike, from Beyonce, Rihanna, Lady Gaga to Taylor Swift and members of Royal Families. With no advertising and strictly discovered through word of mouth, her unique jewels and objets d’art have been presented at some of the most exclusive boutiques in the world including Harrods London, Lane Crawford Hong Kong, Luisa Via Roma Florence and Moda Operandi New York. Anabela Chan is awarded as Walpole's British Luxury Brand of Tomorrow in 2020, The 50 Most Influential People in British Luxury in 2022, and winner of the prestigious Game Changer Award in 2023.

Born into 3 generations of film directors and cinematographers in Hong Kong, Anabela grew up in Paris and trained in London, at the world-renowned Royal College of Art and Gemological Association of Great Britain. She finds her inspirations from her extensive travels to the exotic and the orient; collecting gems and treasures along the way from local markets, nature and the intriguing people she meets. Through an alchemy of precious, natural and man-made materials Anabela combines elegant sculptural forms with dream-like romanticism and thought provoking narratives.

Every story begins by hand-carving the designs in wax before casting in parts, then assembling, polishing and engraving in meticulous detail. Every stone is carefully selected for its brilliance and colour; then cut, faceted, polished and set painstakingly by hand. Every jewel is hand-crafted individually by skilled artisans, combining her love affair with gemstones and an obsession to detail and perfection, to create magical treasures of infinite colours and sparkle that are loved, worn and collected alike.

Originally trained as an architect and a specialist in print and embroidery design, Anabela worked with Architect Lord Richard Rogers and Fashion Designer Alexander McQueen in London for 7 years before returning to jewellery to launch her eponymous brand in 2013. She opened her first stand alone boutique in London Piccadilly’s Ham Yard Hotel in the same year, with a new Flagship Store at the iconic 35B Sloane Street in August 2020.

In 2021 Anabela became a Visiting Lecturer at the Royal College of Art; an Ambassador for Great Britain in Design & Innovation in 2022 and awarded as Walpole's 50 Most Influential People in British Luxury.
