This idea began when we started researching food waste - we learnt that a staggering 40%+ of all food produced and available in the West are thrown away as excess every year. This equates to 9.5million tonnes of food waste in the U.K. annually, with 44 million tonnes of food going to landfills in the U.S. alone every year.
What if we can take perfectly ripened fruits and vegetables beyond their sell-by dates, and turn them into a new genre of gemstones synthesised from natural matters?
We believe the most beautiful colours are found in Nature. Humans have been extracting pigments from nature for thousands of years, with evidence suggesting it began in the Palaeolithic period, 40,000 years ago. Early humans used natural pigments from sources such as red ochre, charcoal, and minerals to create cave paintings and other forms of visual expression. Plants and insects have also been a source of pigments, with plant-based dyes like Indigo dating back to 6000 BC in Peru.
Fruit Gems™ are Crafted in our atelier through over three years of research, they are radiant creations drawn from the world’s most vivid botanicals. Learning from ancient foraging and pigmentation techniques, we harness pigments gently extracted from beetroots, spinach, blueberries, dragon fruit, spirulina and more, bonded and stabilised with a bio-resin foundation derived from plants and renewable organic materials such as corn, soybean, agave and avocado seeds. Each gemstone is a celebration of colour and nature —alive with the essence of the earth, and completed with artisanal precision.
Learning from Fruit Gems™, we also proudly introduce our Regenerative-Gemstones™ - a pioneering blend of sustainability and luxury. Discover a reimagined Amber, infused with the golden hues of autumn leaves and twigs, alongside ethically recreated rose quartz, amethyst, malachite, and lapis lazuli—each regenerated from lapidary off-cuts to give forgotten fragments a dazzling second life.
These are not just gemstones, but stories of transformation—luxuriously reborn through nature, artistry and a vision for a better, greener future.

Heifer International
Heifer International works in 21 countries across Africa, Asia, and the Americas by supporting smallholder farmers to sustainably address hunger and poverty in their communities while caring for the Earth. By providing livestock, agricultural training, and sustainable income opportunities for rural families they help farmers earn more income and generate economic opportunity for rural women, youth and Indigenous populations.
One of Heifer’s signature practices is that recipients of livestock must pass on the first female offspring (or an equivalent gift) to another family in their community. This builds self-sufficiency and scales impact organically.
Since 1944, Heifer has helped over 40 million families with many projects showing:
increased income, improved nutrition and women’s empowerment, especially in rural areas.
