The institute inspires audiences with the greatest choice of independent and world cinema, across the UK and internationally, at our own as well as partner venues, festivals and through our online platforms. It creates opportunity for young talent to pursue a career in film through specialised education programmes, identifying and supporting the new waves of filmmakers that make the UK such a creative place to live.
The BFI team is passionate about film and care for every aspect of it, safeguarding its past and nurturing its future. They lead the discussion, champion new voices and set the agenda for the UK’s screen industries. They advocate tirelessly for the strength, importance and inclusivity of film culture.
